Nya de la Rubia is Spanish leading singer, media personality, television star, movie actress, theatre artist, and model. She is famous for playing the series Lola Requena plastic Sea. She has acted in television shows and series, “Serve and Protect, Giants, The Continental, Secrets of State, The Plague, 28F and 4D, Sea of Plastic (Antena 3 and Netflix)”. She also won the Best Actress Award at the Leon Film and TV Festival 2017.

Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with an exceptionally talented award winning Nya de la Rubia, Spanish leading singer, media personality, television star, movie actress, theatre artist, and model, who talks about her workout, diet, beauty secrets and success story.

Namita Nayyar:

You were born in Sevilla, Spain as Estefanía de la Rubia. At the age of 19, you left your hometown to embark on a new professional journey in Madrid. At the age of 26, you released your first album, Nya de la Rubia, produced by Paco Ortega. This propelled your singing and acting career to the height where you have been at the top of the world as a singer, actress in films, theatre, and modeling. Tell us more about this journey of hard work, tenacity, and endurance?

Nya de la Rubia:

Since I was little, it was clear for me that I wanted to dedicate myself to the artistic world. I love acting, dancing and singing. I always say that ‘you only live once’, so it is better to do the things that make you happy. Although sometimes it can bring many complications, it is a way of life in which you have to have a well-prepared mind, you also have to be constant, be connected to your own humanity and work nonstop.

Namita Nayyar:

You have acted in television shows and series, “Serve and Protect, Giants, The Continental, Secrets of State, The Plague, 28F and 4D, Sea of Plastic (Antena 3 and Netflix)”. Tell us more about working in these television shows and which one is dearer to your heart. Tell us any experience during the filming of the show that you wish to share?

Nya de la Rubia:

The series that I will never forget will be ‘Sea of Plastic’, it gave me the opportunity to learn what filming really is day after day. I have very good memories, especially in Almería where we recorded Sea of Plastic, people there welcomed you with open arms.

Namita Nayyar:

You have been trained professionally and completed the course ‘The actor and the script working together’ by Benito Zambrano. Tell us more about this training session and other professional training at different academies and how that sculpted your acting persona?

Nya de la Rubia:

I started studying performing arts in Seville, they were my years of first contact with art. When I went to live in Madrid, I studied at a theatre school for a year and took courses like that and others. The actor and the artist always have to feed on learning, be a sponge and never stop training.

Namita Nayyar:

You are a Spanish leading singer, media personality, television star, movie actress, theatre artist, and model. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?

Nya de la Rubia:

I have always heard this saying: “Don’t bite off more than you can chew”. I believe that saying should not exist in the first place, if you have the ability and time to do everything you like, why not to do it? I even have been my own manager on occasions, I have been my own company and you learn from everything. Now I want to launch clothing line called “NYA”, there is time for everything.
