Happy New Year: Embracing Transformation and Inspiring Growth

Happy New Year! While I might be slightly tardy with my greetings, they say, "better late than never," right? It’s been a while since my last post back in November, but I’ve taken this time to reflect, rejuvenate, and ready myself for the exciting journey ahead. Although I stepped away from blogging, it wasn’t out of exhaustion or a desire to quit. Instead, I found myself navigating a significant period of transition—a time I like to call an "in-between stage."

Understanding the In-Between Stage

The in-between stage is where transformation happens. It’s that often uncomfortable place where you are neither here nor there, but rather in preparation for something greater. It’s during these moments of ambiguity that God often elevates you from one level to another. Transitions can be challenging, but they are essential for growth.

During this time apart from the blogosphere, I had the privilege of meeting some incredible people, while also saying goodbye to those whose time in my life had come to an end. Each encounter brought lessons, and each goodbye provided clarity. Most importantly, I spent time evaluating what was truly important to me. This period of introspection revealed a powerful message that resonated deeply: Stop playing small. Dream big. Go big or go home. Period.

The Power of Dreaming Big

The first step in this transformative journey is recognizing that no dream is too grand to pursue. If something stirs your heart, it’s worth chasing. However, dreaming without supporting action is futile. That brings us to the second point: you need to put in the work commensurate with your ambitions. A dream without effort will remain just that—a dream.

As I embarked on this new chapter, I felt compelled to apply this mindset not only to my life but particularly to my brand, my “lor baby.” I envisioned rebranding and expanding while moving beyond merely writing motivational posts. My goal was to create a significant impact—a community where women could feel inspired, loved, and empowered to embrace the best versions of themselves.

Greeted by the arrival of 2020 feels monumental to me, not just as the beginning of a new year but also a new decade. Think about it: after over a decade of experiences, both good and bad, we have invaluable lessons to guide us through the next 10 years. It’s time for us to apply these lessons, embrace our purpose, and not shy away from living fearlessly.

This year signifies more than mere resolutions; it’s about solidifying our places in the world by understanding our purpose. Living within our purpose enhances our existence—it transforms life from a mere series of moments into a deliberately lived experience.

Introducing AyabaConnect

Allow me to reintroduce you to my passion project: AyabaConnect. This space is dedicated to inspiring, empowering, and connecting strong, beautiful women everywhere. The name "Ayaba" means "Queen" in the Yoruba language, a title that has been a part of me since childhood as my parents fondly referred to me as Esteri Ayaba (Queen Esther). This connection to my roots and identity fuels my desire to uplift others and serve as a beacon for women striving to acknowledge their inner queens.
