Empowering Grow Your Social Venture (GYSV) Graduates in Partnership with HerStart

One of the highlights of our recent endeavors has been the training sessions facilitated by Hassan for participants of HerStart. These sessions were designed to empower graduates of the Grow Your Social Venture (GYSV) program, equipping them with invaluable skills to tackle social challenges effectively. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Hassan for his expertise in guiding these emerging change-makers. Menstrual Health Workshop at Bambi Secondary School

In line with our commitment to health education, BCZ recently conducted a proactive workshop at Bambi Secondary School focused on menstrual health. We believe that access to accurate information can empower young individuals to overcome societal taboos associated with menstrual hygiene. This workshop not only equipped students with knowledge but also served as a platform to encourage open discussions surrounding menstrual health, contributing to a more informed and supportive environment for young individuals.

New Gender Strategy Projects with YCI’s HerStart

We are excited to announce the initiation of new gender strategy projects in partnership with YCI’s HerStart. This new journey represents a significant milestone in our mission to promote inclusivity and gender equality. Through this strategy, we aim to develop specific programs that address gender disparities and promote empowerment, laying the groundwork for a more equitable society where everyone can thrive.

Professional Development for STEM Graduates – ZESTA Projects

Taking a giant leap towards bridging the skills gap in the technology sector, BCZ has undertaken the ZESTA project, which focuses on professional development training for STEM graduates. The goal is to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in various tech-related fields. By investing in the professional growth of these graduates, we are contributing to the development of a skilled workforce that can drive innovation and growth in Zanzibar.

Female Financial Literacy and Awareness Training

In collaboration with Youth Challenge International (YCI), BCZ has launched the first of three eight-day workshops targeting rural women from three regions across Unguja Island. The female financial literacy program covers essential topics such as rights and responsibilities, self-awareness in gender roles, and practical financial skills including bookkeeping, record-keeping, and budget preparation. By equipping women with financial knowledge and awareness, we are empowering them to actively participate in financial activities and secure sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
