While Women’s Month may not have been celebrated in its fullest capacity this year, we decided it was time to revive a fan favorite: Women on The Rise. This series shines a spotlight on phenomenal women in the DMV area who are trailblazing paths in their respective fields. With a refreshing lineup, we are excited to introduce you to this year’s honorees.

Meet Ashli Kolawole, a 26-year-old Nigerian American whose passion for PR and women’s empowerment drives her mission. As the CEO of her own creative agency, ATENKO, Ashli specializes in brand development and PR strategies that elevate businesses. She founded GRL GETTER in 2017 to create a supportive network of enterprising women determined to uplift one another in both professional and personal pursuits.
